HOW DOES IT WORK?

Step 1. Select your kid’s age bracket 

Step 2. Customise your box

  • Ages 0 – 2, 2 – 3 and 11 – 13, you’ll choose the book topics for both books.
  • Ages 3 – 5, 5 – 7 and 7 – 11, you’ll choose the 2nd book topic.

Step 3. I’ll get to work finding great books using the following criteria:

  • 1st priority: Purposeful content. Educational or core benefit of the month. 
  • 2nd priority: Australian Authors. I am committed to supporting local businesses.
  • 3rd priority: New releases. I aim to give you books you don’t already have. But if you do, the next time your kids are invited to a birthday party, you’ll have the perfect gift! See FAQs
  • 4th priority: Highly regarded or award-winning.

Step 4. Our box is shipped to you by the 20th of each month. You will receive a digital parent’s guide by email, to print as you please.

*Core benefit theme – It’s not always possible to find books for ages 0 – 2, 2 – 3 and 11 – 13 specific to the core benefit, which is why you get to choose the topic for all books.

Customisable Book Options

Each age range will come with different options of kids books to choose from. You can mix and match what types of books you like and you can change these types at any time. The options available will vary depending on the age of your child.

 

  • Picture Books: New release pictures books. Highly illustrated books (typically colour throughout) for children in which the content (either fiction or non-fiction) is conveyed through the use of words and pictures in combination or through pictures alone. A ‘picture book’ differs from a ‘book with illustrations’, in that the pictures it contains are at least as important as the text (if any) and form an essential component of the book.
  • Early Learning Books: Books on early learning concepts like ABCs, colours, numbers, shapes, rhymes, and more.
  • Life Skills: Books for teaching life skills like sharing, going to preschool, going to bed, politeness, brushing teeth, and more. Similar to core benefits, just age-appropriate for young kids
  • Sound Books: If it makes noisy, there is probably a book about it. Novelty books with sounds from animals to tractors.
  • Touchy-Feely Books: Novelty books with lift-the-flaps, touch-and-feel, finger trails, tactile textures and more. Great to help develop fine motor skills.
  • Curious Minds: Non-fiction picture books on educational topics. Ranging from early learning concepts such as words, colours, shapes to science, space, and the world around us.
  • Activity Books:  Activities include drawing, colouring, painting, hidden objects, papercrafts, and more.
  • My Body and Mental Health: Age-appropriate books about body safety, consent, setting healthy boundaries, puberty, and mental health awareness.
  • Read Aloud Chapter Books: Ideal for reading aloud, but the option is yours. Chapter books for families of older kids used to create conversation and open up a safe space to handle difficult conversations.
  • Additional Core Benefit: If you’ve like an additional book highlighting the core benefit of the month
